The Ohio State Highway Patrol Hamilton Post and the Butler County OVI Task Force conducted an OVI Checkpoint on State Route 128  from 9 p.m. until midnight.

Ten vehicles were diverted for additional investigation out of the 582 that passed the checkpoint, according to a press release.

Citations were issued for possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension, the release reported.

“If you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other arrangements before you drink. Don’t let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired,” Lieutenant Clint Arnold said.
