Peloton bringing over 2,000 jobs to Ohio with manufacturing plant investment

Peloton is planning a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Wood County near Toledo that state officials said will generate over 2,000 new jobs for Ohioans.

“This is a reshoring manufacturing win for us,” said Lt. Gov. Jon Husted. “We promised them that we would provide a great business environment.”

The plant is expected to open in 2023 and will be built on about 200 acres of land. It’s expected to generate $138 million in new payroll.

“After a rigorous selection process, we selected Troy Township in Wood County, Ohio for the site of the Peloton Output Park,” Peloton’s CEO John Foley said. “We are thrilled to bring a good portion of our manufacturing to United States soil and proud that it will be in the great state of Ohio.”

The state has approved a 2.301 percent, 15-year job creation tax credit for the project.

The plant will produce Peloton’s bikes and treadmills in the more than one million square feet of manufacturing, office and amenities space.

There also will be an on-site showroom for member community events, Foley said.
