Our News Center 7′s cameras were the only ones rolling when this violence broke out. We blurred some videos because most of the people involved were minors.

The video showed library staff and officers trying to break up a fight involving several teens.

News Center 7′s Xavier Hershovitz says Dayton Police first came out just before 3 p.m. for reports of a fight. Then another fight broke out just after 4 p.m., according to a previous News Center 7 report.

One of our News Center 7 cameras captured the second fight.

“I don’t know what consequences mean for them. It’s really serious. They don’t get penalized for even the little (stuff),” said John Childers of Dayton.

News Center 7′s Amber Jenkins showed cell phone video of the fight to people.

“Wow, that’s out of control,” said Tracy from Kettering.

News Center 7 is following up with Dayton Metro Library leaders to see what changes could be made here.
