ADAMS COUNTY, Ohio — A Michigan man is dead after a twin-engine plane crashed in Adams County on Monday.

Robert Harris Coles, 46, of Vicksburg, Michigan, was identified by the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) as the pilot killed in the crash.
Coles was operating a 1960 twin-engine Cessna 310D when it crashed in a wooded area near Savage Road in Bratton Township shortly after 3 p.m., according to OSHP.

Coles was the only person on board the plane when it crashed.
Both the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board were notified of the crash. OSHP said a representative would be responding.
The crash remains under investigation.
