A disruption in the polar vortex has brought significantly colder than normal conditions for the Pacific Northwest and Midwest much of this winter.

Now, it appears that it may be our turn for a taste of the arctic cold.

The polar jet stream is anticipated to dive through the country towards the end of this week, bringing a wave of bitterly cold conditions.

By the start of next week, Sunday or Monday, the cold air will have arrived here in the Miami Valley.

Our temperatures on Monday morning could fall to near 0 degrees with wind chills ranging between 20 and 30 degrees below zero.
