DAYTON — Bail was set at $250,000 for a Dayton man accused of shooting and injuring a letter carrier on Friday, according to court records.

Christopher O. Gibson, 47, of Dayton, is facing felonious assault and discharge of a firearm charges in Dayton Municipal Court.

During his arraignment Monday, a judge set bail and scheduled a preliminary hearing for Jan. 14, court records showed.

Gibson is accused of firing shots Friday afternoon outside his home in the 2100 block of Arlene Avenue. One of the shots hit a United States Postal Service letter carrier, court records indicate.

The condition of the victim was not immediately known.

Gibson allegedly fled the scene after the shooting, however he was later found and arrested Sunday, according to jail records.
