Police arrest man for breaking into Huber Heights business

HUBER HEIGHTS — A man is facing charges after Huber Heights police arrested him for breaking into the Gander RV on Old Troy Pike.

According to police, Travis Hutchinson, 38, was arrested after police were sent to Gander RV after an alarm was set off from motion at a gun rack just before 6 a.m. on Tuesday.

Upon arrival, police said they saw a vehicle on the west side of the building that had ran through a fence.

When the business lights came on, police saw the suspect running inside near a camper. Police said Hutchinson was apprehended without incident.

Upon further investigation, police said Hutchinson admitted to stealing a van in Vandalia, as well as a license plate from another Vandalia business.

Police said Hutchinson also admitted to coming to Gander RV to steal items.

Hutchinson has been charged with receiving stolen property, breaking and entering and vandalism.
