Just after 3:30 p.m., Dayton police and medics were dispatched to Cornell Meat King Supermarket on the 3500 block of Cornell Drive for reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, police found a man outside the store suffering from at least one apparent gunshot wound, Coleman said.
Dayton Fire Department arrived on scene and provided life-saving measures.
The victim was then transported to a local hospital and his current condition is unknown, Coleman said.
“At this point in time, we’re just trying to get all the videos, we’re trying to get witnesses statements, we’re trying to see if we can corroborate everybody’s, what they saw or what they didn’t see, and try to help us out,” Coleman said.
It is unclear what caused this shooting.
