At 8:04 p.m., Dayton police and medics were dispatched to 119 N James H. McGee Boulevard, a Marathon gas station, on reports of a shooting.

When police arrived on scene, they spoke with the victim who pointed out the alleged suspect, Evans said.

Evans told News Center 7 crews that an individual started shooting at another individual in a car. He said children were also inside the car.

Police were able to detain the alleged suspect, according to Evans.

“It appears that this was some sort of domestic argument that spiraled out of control and kind of evolved into somebody deciding it was appropriate to start shooting at someone else,” Evans said.

No one was hurt in this shooting.

News Center 7 is working to learn more about the suspect.
