17-year-old walks into yard, says he’s been shot, 911 caller says

DAYTON — Police are investigating a shooting in Dayton Tuesday night.

Around 8:30 p.m. Dayton police and medics were called to the first block of West Shadyside Drive for a reported shooting, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.

In a 911 call obtained by News Center 7, a woman tells dispatchers a 17-year-old walked into her yard injured.

“There’s a young man that walked into my yard with blood on him, thinks he shot,” the woman said to dispatchers.

She tells dispatchers it appears that his clothes have been stripped off him and he was robbed.

The woman said the 17-year-old told her the shooting happened on Noth Main Street and isn’t sure who did it.
