SPRINGFIELD — Springfield police and detectives are investigating a shooting that injured one person Sunday afternoon.
Regional dispatch confirmed the shooting happened at approximately 4:40 p.m. on Clifton Avenue.

Initial emergency scanner traffic indicated a male had suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.
Dispatchers said the victim was being transported to Miami Valley Hospital. His condition was unknown at this time.
