MIAMI TOWNSHIP — Police believe at least one person is injured after a shooting at the Dayton Mall Sunday afternoon, Miami Township Assistant Police Chief James McCarty said.

Miami Township police and several other agencies were called to the Dayton Mall on Miamisburg Centerville Road at approximately 3:07 p.m.

McCarty said a teenager was mishandling a gun when the shooting occurred.
They believe one shot was fired and the bullet struck the teen in the abdomen.
The teenager left the scene before police arrived.
A spokesperson for mall security said the mall will be reopening and there is no current threat.
No arrests have been made at this time.
