Four adult males, one adult female and six juvenile males were taken to the Montgomery County Jail or the county Juvenile Justice Center on charges of inciting violence and rioting as well, according to statement Trotwood police released minutes ago.
The school resource officer, at 12:56 p.m., called for additional officers to the school "to assist in quelling a fight involving multiple students," according to the statement.
As officers began arriving on campus, the fight was broken up. Students who were involved were identified and moved to a secure area away from other students and staff.
None of the students in the fight was injured.
The motive for the fight is not known, according to police, and the students involved were not willing to tell police or school officials anything about it.
Police department officials, after consulting with the Trotwood-Madison schools superintendent, said in the statement the department will be providing an additional presence at the school.
Also, the school's safety plan is being reviewed to determine whether there are additional needs to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
PRAYER RALLY PLANNED FOR FRIDAY
Pastors, parents, elected officials and community members said they will hold a prayer rally at the high school beginning at 9:30 a.m. Friday in response to the fight.
The Gateway Cathedral Church of God in Christ is organizing the event, according to a statement from the church.
FIGHT ERUPTED AT TROTWOOD-MADISON MONDAY
Thursday’s fight is the second disturbance at the high school this week.
