TROY — A man was arrested after hours-long negotiations in Troy early Wednesday morning.

Around 1:22 a.m. officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant for 36-year-old Daoto Thomas in the 1400 block of McKaig Ave.

The arrest warrant was issued by the West Chester Police Department on charges of Having Weapons Under Disability, a third-degree felony, and Carrying a Concealed Weapon, a fourth-degree felony.
According to a release, Thomas threatened officers on the scene and refused to surrender.
Deputies from the Miami County Sheriff’s Office and Troy officers negotiated with Thomas until 6:16 a.m. when they realized he would not surrender voluntarily.
As officers on the Troy Tactical Response Team prepared to enter the residence Thomas exited his apartment.
He was taken into custody without incident, and no injuries were reported.
Thomas is currently being held in Miami County Hail on obstructing official business and aggravated menacing charges.
