DAYTON — A man is in custody after a standoff in Dayton Tuesday afternoon.
Dayton Police Maj. Chris Malson said after police arrived on scene for a wellness check, they determined that a domestic violence incident had happened.
Police said the suspect did have a firearm and had refused to come out.
A hostage negotiator did respond to the standoff.
One victim was taken out of the house. They sustained some minor injuries that aren’t expected to require treatment according to Malson.

Just after 5 p.m., Malson said that the suspect, Nicholas Graves, peacefully exited the home and was arrested.
Graves is currently in custody at Montgomery County Jail on charges of kidnapping, domestic violence with injury and having weapons while under disability — along with other charges that do not appear to be from the standoff.
Malson said the suspect’s family was a key part in helping relay messages to him and getting him to surrender.
Graves’ next day in court is March 8, according to jail records.
