Popular brewery to close downtown Dayton location; ‘Old-school entertainment’ moving into space

DAYTON — A popular brewery announced that its downtown Dayton location is closing, but a new nightlife activity will be moving into the space soon.

As reported on News Center 7 at 11:00, Moeller Brew Barn posted to social media announcing that their last day of operation will be Dec. 23.

Dayton resident Tom Stephens said he’s a new customer at the brewery and wishes it wasn’t closing.

“I’d like to see, you know, the places like this make it. I just don’t understand why they don’t,” Stephens said.

He said he hates seeing so many businesses in his area close. Especially ones next to the Day-Air Ballpark.

“I’d like to see more places like this pop-up downtown,” Stephens said.

Rise Brands, a brand development firm confirmed to News Center 7 that Pins Mechanical Co. will be moving into the 11,000-plus square foot space by spring 2025.

The adult arcade is, “known for its blend of old-school entertainment, handcrafted cocktails, and social atmosphere,” a spokesperson from Rise Brands said.

The location will feature two floors of games and gathering spaces, several bars, and a patio with fire pits.

Some of the games include eight duckpin bowling lanes, pinball, foosball, Hookie, and more.
