News Center 7 spoke Friday with his wife, Gail, about this special dedication.
“I’m very honored,” she said. “I know he would be amazed at the number of people that showed up (Friday) today. The number of people that come up to me saying, ‘Can we do this in Gene’s honor? Can we do that in Gene’s honor?’”
Gail said someone came up Friday and asked her if they could do something to honor her husband.
“I know he touched a lot of lives and I’m grateful for that,” she said.
