UPDATE: Power restored in Clark County after vehicle hits power pole

CLARK COUNTY — UPDATE @ 9:12 p.m.

Power has been restored to Ohio Edison customers after a one-vehicle crash in Clark County Saturday evening.

Troopers were dispatched to the area of Springfield Xenia Road at Interstate 70 around 7:15 p.m. on reports that a car hit a power pole.

There are fewer than five Ohio Edison customers without power, according to their website.

As many as 1,233 Ohio Edison customers lost power, as many as 969 in Springfield.

Power outages are reported following a one-vehicle crash in Clark County Saturday evening.

Troopers were dispatched to the area of Springfield Xenia Road at Interstate 70 around 7:15 p.m. on initial reports that a car hit a power pole, the Ohio State Highway Patrol told News Center 7.

Dispatchers say there no injuries with this crash.

At least 1,200 Ohio Edison customers are without power in Clark County, according to Ohio Edison’s website.

This includes 969 in Springfield, 250 in Springfield Township and 32 in Mad River Township.

The estimated time of restoration is around 10:00 p.m., Ohio Edison said on its website.
