Power outages reported following train derailment in Clark County

CLARK COUNTY — There are a number of power outages in Clark County.

The Clark County Government office said it was aware of downed power lines in the area of a train derailment near the Clark County Fairgrounds on State Route 41 late Saturday afternoon, according to its Facebook page.

At least 1,500 residents were without power at point Saturday evening.

Ohio Edison is reporting less than 100 customers are without power, according to its website.

This is includes 49 in Clark County, 39 in Springfield Township, nine in Springfield and one in Bethel Township.

Ohio Edison reported as many as 700 customers were without power.
