MIAMISBURG — Two people believed to be involved in a high-speed pursuit with Franklin and Springboro police were found by Miamisburg police hiding in a storm drain Monday morning.

Springboro police initially spotted the stolen vehicle involved in the pursuit in the southwest corner of the city. The car was stolen out of Dayton, police said.

Officers from Franklin and Springboro were chasing the car shortly before 10 a.m. and terminated the pursuit in the area of Miamisburg due to speed and the anticipation of higher traffic volume, Springboro Police Chief Jeff Kruithoff said.

A short time later, Miamisburg and Miami Twp. police found the vehicle abandoned on Genetta Drive, Miamisburg police said.

A police K-9 was brought in to help search for anyone who ran off from the car. After continuing their search, officers ended up finding the two people inside the storm drain system in the area of the 500 block of Cherry Hill Drive, Miamisburg investigators said.

The driver of the car, Jeffrey Bostick, 34, was booked into the Warren County Jail on suspicion of failure to comply, obstructing official business and receiving stolen property. The passenger was released pending potential misdemeanor charges, Miamisburg police said.
