The first band of moisture from Indiana arrived around 8 a.m. Marando says it will be a mix of rain and snow with the chance of a few slick spots on bridges and overpasses.
“A light accumulation of around an inch is possible, isolated reports of two inches possible north, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces for the entire Miami Valley before we look to mix with some rain as we warm into the middle 30s by the afternoon,” said Marando. “In terms of travel, a few slick spots may be possible on untreated and elevated surfaces for the morning drive where snow falls heaviest but not expecting advisory level snowfall.”
Precipitation is expected to end by late this afternoon.
Saturday will be the first day of winter. It officially starts at 4:20 a.m.
It will be dry but quite cold with a chance of refreezing.
