Rain is moving into the area during the morning hours, and some will be mixed with snow. Marando says there will be little to no accumulations.
“The best chance for any mix will be north of I-70,” he said. “Travel impacts seem unlikely due to warmer ground temperatures, but if a slick spot were to develop it would be north of US-36 (Winchester, IN to Urbana, OH and north). It will all come down to temperatures with the highest chance on the bridges and overpasses.
Temperatures will be close to freezing as daybreak approaches. There is a small chance of freezing rain or even snow showers.
Marando says temperatures will quickly warm up and rain is expected for the rest of the day.
The next chance for snow with some rain mixing in is Friday. It will also be colder this weekend.
Our Storm Center 7 team of meteorologists will update this story.
