DAYTON — A 35-year-old Dayton man is accused of raping a woman and attacking her after she tried to call a friend for help earlier this month.
Jonas Claytor was arrested by Dayton Police Monday afternoon after a warrant was issued for his arrest on charges of rape, felonious assault and kidnapping.
According to court records, the victim was beaten and found by police partially nude on a rear porch on Tennyson Avenue on Jan. 9.

The victim told police she had been at a bar in West Carrollton and remembered being in a vehicle with Claytor.
“(The victim) asked Claytor to take her to her car, but he did not,” an affidavit filed in Dayton Municipal Court read.
The two ended up parked at a park near the 1900 block of Tennyson, where the victim tried to call a friend for help.

“He dragged her out of the vehicle and a struggle ensued,” Dayton police said. “(The victim) thought Claytor left and she got up to run. He returned and tackled her to the ground, where he delivered several strikes to her face.”
The victim told police she opted to “play dead,” because she thought Claytor was going to kill her.
That’s when police said Claytor raped her and ran off, according to court records.
The victim was able to get away and call 911 from a nearby house.
