FAIRBORN — A former daycare worker is facing charges after being accused of assaulting children.
The incidents allegedly occurred at Creative World of Learning on W. Goodman Road in Fairborn.

News Center 7 spoke exclusively with one parent who said the worker “smacked,” “pushed,” and “yanked” her two-year-old son’s arm and the actions were caught on video.
The woman’s son was one of three toddlers the childcare worker assaulted at the facility, according to police.
In court filings, Fairborn police call what happened to three children, two one-year-olds and a two-year-old, “assault” and “endangering children.”
Police said their investigation started after someone picked up a child at the center who had “a huge abrasion on (their) side.”

Detectives also said the crimes were caught on video.
“One of the videos showed [the worker] holding him down to where he couldn’t get up,” the mother, who wanted to remain anonymous, told News Center 7.
In court documents, police identified the suspect they arrested as 24-year-old Makala Curry. Multiple parents told News Center 7, Curry identifies as a man and went by “Greyson.”
A spokesperson for the Fairborn Police Department confirmed Curry was arrested on Friday and is facing nine counts of assault and nine counts of child endangering.
In a statement from the daycare obtained by News Center 7, a spokesperson stated the worker had been fired.
“We took immediate action to terminate the individual’s employment with our childcare program. We are committed to maintaining a safe, nurturing, and respectful environment for all children, parents, and faculty members,” a spokesperson for the daycare said.
Fairborn police said they do not expect any of the charges to be upgraded to felonies.
