Recipes will ‘live on indefinitely,’ Mikesell’s says in statement

DAYTON — The Mikesell’s family has released a statement following Monday’s announcement that it has been bought by an Ohio-based potato chip company.

“The beloved 112+year-old recipes created by Mike-sell’s Potato Chip Company will live on indefinitely— thanks to a final, executed agreement that licenses all of its brand and IP rights to Conn’s Potato Chip Company,” the company said in a statement.

Mikesell’s branded products will begin production from Conn’s Zanesville facility, effective immediately.

“Mikesell’s is thankful to have the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy, despite its business closure, so the brand and recipes that generations of families have come to know and love will have a chance to survive and thrive with Conn’s,” the statement said.

“Again, we wish to remind the community, consumers and partners that our entire family greatly appreciate their love and support over the past 112+ years,” said Luke Mapp, President of Mikesell’s. “Our family will long remember the fan love, the friendships and the wins along the way the most.”
