Castillo would become the 37th Reds player to make an injury rehab start for the Dragons, joining Reds stars, Brandon Phillips, Joey Votto and Aroldis Chapman.

Castillo was a National League all-star in 2019 with the Reds and opened the season on the injured list due to shoulder soreness. He’s yet to pitch in a game this season.

The all-star has won 40 games in a Reds uniform since joining the big leagues in 2018 and has an ERA below 4.00 the last three years.
