1 shot at Grandview Medical Center after an ‘altercation’ in the parking lot

DAYTON — Police responded to Grandview Medical Center after one person was reportedly shot near the entrance of the building just before 4 p.m. Saturday.

Dispatchers say a staff member called 911 to report the incident.

The victim was taken inside the hospital and suffers from non life-threatening injuries. Officers are unsure how many times the victim may have been shot.

Investigators say the incident began with an altercation in the parking lot that could have involved five or six people.

No one else was injured in the incident and officers are still working to locate a suspect.

The hospital is open and operating as normal.
