Robin Trimbach said her daughter was still unconscious Monday afternoon at Miami Valley Hospital. She also said she worries for her two young grandchildren because there has been little sign of improvement in her daughter's condition.

The daughter's boyfriend, who was driving when the accident occurred near West Grand and South Lowry avenues, suffered a concussion and checked himself out of a hospital in Springfield to be with his girlfriend.

Trimbach said police have told her a license plate was knocked off the offending vehicle in the crash.

The crash left Trimbach's daughter trapped in the wreckage, police said.

Monday night, Springfield police Lt. Matthew Buynak said the investigation is continuing.
