Miami County woman killed in head-on collision on Ohio 119 in Shelby County

A 48-year-old Miami County woman was killed in the head-on collision Wednesday afternoon in the 17,000 block of state Route 119 in Shelby County.

Rebecca Daniels, of Conover, was driving a Honda Civic headed west on 119 when it collided with a Cadillac STS sedan that went left of center while cresting a hill, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office said.

Daniels died at the scene, the sheriff's office said.

The driver of that sedan, 31-year-old Thomas Slife, of Bellefontaine, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Wilson Health.

The accident was reported just after 3 p.m.
