Gunman leaves shoe at Dollar General robbery, Dayton police say

Police are looking for the gunman who apparently left one of his shoes behind in the Dollar General robbery Monday night, a Dayton officer said.

The clerk, who was busy hurrying customers out of the store as he spoke with a 9-1-1 dispatcher, noted the invader wore a black mask as well as a black hoodie and sweatpants.

Dayton police were dispatched to the store, at 445 Salem Avenue, about 8:39 p.m.

No shots were fired and no injuries were reported. According to the clerk, the robber's handgun was black as well.
