CLARK COUNTY — Divers are expected to be back at the reservoir at Buck Creek State Park this morning to continue their search into a missing Dayton woman, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

A car was pulled from the water Thursday that belonged to the estranged husband of LaTricia Bass-Jefferies. Bass-Jefferies, who lives in Dayton, was last seen Saturday after she took another woman to Springfield. Her husband reported her missing Tuesday.

Bass-Jefferies was not found with the car and is still missing, said Trooper Sheldon Goodrum.

Recovery crews, including dive teams, continued to investigate the area Thursday night and are expected to be back at the scene this morning after sunrise. The area is being treated as a crime scene, officers said.

It is not clear how the vehicle got in the lake at this time or how long it had been there.

Crews had to use axes to break up three to four inches of ice to access the vehicle.

State troopers said multiple agencies, including Dayton police and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, are involved in the investigation
