Reward offered after shots fired, guns stolen during Dayton pawn shop robbery

DAYTON — Police are looking for three suspects in an armed robbery with multiple guns stolen Thursday afternoon from a Dayton pawn shop, and now a reward up to $5,000 is offered in the case.

Three shots were fired inside the store during the robbery reported around 12:35 p..m at Ohio Loan Co., 1171 W. Third St., and one of the suspects assaulted an employee, according to police.

Investigators said three robbers entered the store, all with guns, and one of the robbers fired shots inside the business, though police said the shots were not fired at anyone.

Video surveillance shows the suspects enter the store with guns drawn and multiple bags. They were wearing hoodies and jackets with the hoods up and had their faces covered before they fled in a gold four-door Chevrolet sedan.

A medic was requested for one person injured during the robbery. Officers did not specify how the person was injured, but said the victim was not shot.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the National Shooting Sports Foundation — the trade association for the firearms industry — are jointly offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the robbery at Ohio Loan Co.
