Reward offered for information on Dayton hit-and-run that left teen in critical condition

DAYTON — A reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest of a suspect in a hit-and-run crash that hospitalized a teen in Dayton.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday that Miami Valley Crime Stoppers has offered a reward of $1,000 for any information that leads to the arrest.

On April 6 around 11:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of North Main Street and Santa Clara Avenue to assist Dayton police on a crash involving a pedestrian.

The victim was identified as 18-year-old I’sice Thomas who was walking home from a friend’s house.

Thomas was crossing North Main Street at Santa Clara when she was struck by a northbound vehicle that fled the scene. The crash left Thomas in critical condition.

The vehicle is believed to be a darker colored sedan with any combination of front-end damage, damage to the hood of the vehicle, or the windshield, according to the sheriff’s office.
