Road work to affect traffic in Preble County later this month

CAMDEN — Road work will impact drivers traveling in Preble County for the next several months.

Starting March 29, construction will begin on U.S. 127 at State Route 725 (W. Central Avenue) in the Village of Camden, according to a spokesperson for the Ohio Department of Transportation

Work will take place on U.S. 127 north and south between Bloomfield Street and South Street from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Road crews will be installing left-turn lanes on U.S. 127 while upgrading the signal at the intersection with W. Central Avenue, the spokesperson said.

Bloomfield Street will be closed at its junction with U.S. 127 to allow for minor widening and and construction onto W. Central Avenue. It will stay closed throughout the project, according to ODOT.

Douglas Street will be closed at W. Central Avenue when work shifts over there.

The project is scheduled to be completed in May 2024.
