DAYTON — The Greater Dayton RTA is holding an interactive hiring event for bus drivers today at the Dayton career fair.
RTA is looking to fill over 50 CDL bus driver positions and 35 non-CDL driver positions., according to a press release.
The release went on to say after candidates successfully complete their interview, an RTA trainer will assist applicants with a vehicle test drive.

The event will begin on Friday, June 10, at 7:00 a.m. and go until 11:00 a.m. at the University of Dayton Arena.
The event will continue on Saturday, June 11, from 10 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at UD Arean as well.
Those unable to attend the career fair can still apply for open positions on the RTA’s career website.
Candidates must bring a valid Driver’s License and a copy of their resume.
“You don’t know what it’s like driving a bus until you try it, and this way, candidates get to ‘test drive’ their new job,” said Chief Customer & Business Development Officer Brandon Policicchio.

RTA will be offering a coupon code for a no-charge Uber or Lyft ride to and from UD Arena from anywhere in Montgomery County.
Those interested should find an RTA Transit Ambassador at the transit center and request a ride to the hiring event.
