RTA holding open interviews, hiring bus drivers starting Sept. 5

The Greater Dayton RTA is holding open interviews to hire bus drivers.

Interviews will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily starting Sept. 5 at the RTA’s office, 600 Longworth St. in Dayton.

Drivers with CDL licenses are needed, but commercial driving experience is not necessary because a training program will be provided.

Candidates are encouraged to fill out an online application in advance at www.iriderta.org/careers. Candidates also are asked to bring a resume, two forms of identification (including driver's license) and wear appropriate attire.

Starting wage for RTA drivers with a CDL is $15.59/hour, and without a CDL is $13.64/hour.
