Ryan Reynolds sends Vandalia boy personal message after his good deed on Halloween

VANDALIA — A 9-year-old Vandalia boy’s good deed on Halloween has caught the attention of many online, including celebrity Ryan Reynolds.

Upon noticing one house’s bowl had run out of candy, Dylan Suiter took it upon himself to offer up his own candy, which was caught on home surveillance camera.

The video showing the random act of kindness was then shared on the group Facebook page “All Things Vandalia.” The post has since gone viral.

In the video, Suiter starts to walk away after realizing the house had no candy, but then pauses, jumps up and down a bit, and adds some of his own candy to the bowl.

Suiter dressed up as Ryan Reynolds from the movie “Free Guy” this Halloween.

“I saw lots of people dressed up as Guy from Free Guy, but nobody blew me away quite like you” Reynolds said in the video. “That was amazing.”

In addition to the personal message from Reynolds, some online have offered to reimburse Dylan for his candy, send him gift cards, and thank you notes, but the Suiters say this was simply meant to be a good deed. “It’s crazy how far one little random act of kindness can go,” his mother, Sarah Suiter said.
