Rumpke Waste & Recycling Services will not collect trash due to hazardous roads, according to a spokesperson.
“Safety is a top priority for our team. The freezing temperatures that are predicted for the remainder of the week make our job more dangerous. To help protect our team members from cold-related illnesses and ensure customers still receive timely collection, we must adjust our operations,” said Rob Beyrer, safety manager.
Residents who use Rumpke are encouraged to leave their collections at the curb the night before their scheduled collection.
Rumpke said on its website that services will resume on Tuesday as conditions allow and they will operate on a one-day delay the rest of the week.
