BUTLER COUNTY — A school employee was placed on administrative leave after allegations that the employee made “physical contact” with a student, according to a release from the Talawanda School District.

According to the school, the employee was removed immediately after the incident and has not been in contact with students or staff since.

The staff member resigned from their position before a disciplinary hearing, the release says.
The employee is in police custody, the release says.
“Talawanda does not condone the use of inappropriate or excessive student physical contact,” the school said.
According to the school, they will continue to report relevant information to the required officials.
