Multi-agency search and recovery operations were conducted in several areas around the area of the park and Harshman Road Thursday, according to Assistant Chief Nicholas Hosford.
The City of Dayton Department of Water created a temporary dam on a portion of the Mad River to help additional search capabilities and the department is actively pumping out water in the dammed area of the river. Searches of the newly exposed areas are being conducted.
Crews are also conducting land and water-based searches, K-9 searches and using aerial and underwater drones.
“Over 80 personnel are currently on-site conducting land and water operations as well as support functions including personnel from Dayton Fire, Dayton Police, City of Dayton Water, MetroParks, Huber Heights Fire, and members from Texas EquuSearch and OHTF-1,” Hosford said.

News Center 7′s Kayla McDermott spoke to Lucas’ mother, Amanda, at the park Thursday. She said nothing has gotten easier as the days go by.
“I just wake up and I just tell him, ‘Mommy’s coming and I’m sorry,’” Amanda Rosales said.
Amanda showed off her car, which had messages to her son written on them, like “Mama’s baby shark,” and his birthday.
