SPRINGFIELD TWP., Clark County — UPDATE @ 12:07 p.m.
The cause of a semi fire on the westbound I-70 ramp is still under investigation according to Sergeant Shane Meddock of the State Highway Patrol in Springfield.
The driver of the truck stated that he smelled smoke and pulled off the side of the highway just before his cab burst into flames. The driver was not injured during the fire and crews are still working to clear the scene.

The Ohio 72 ramp to westbound I-70 in Springfield Twp. is blocked after a fire broke out in the cab of a semi Friday morning.

FIRST REPORT
Firefighters in Clark County are responding to reports of a semi fire on the Ohio 72 ramp to westbound I-70 in Springfield Twp. Friday morning.
Heavy flames and smoke were seen from the ODOT camera when the incident was reported around 10:30 a.m. The cab of the semi was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived, according to scanner traffic from the scene.
