WEST CARROLLTON — A semi caused heavy damage to a local water tower after running into Tuesday morning.
The crash was reported around 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of E. Central Avenue and S. Elm Street in West Carrollton.

West Carrollton Police and Fire crews have been on the scene for over 6 hours since this crash happened.
News Center 7′s Taylor Robertson reported at 5 p.m. that crews carefully removed the semi in two parts just before 5 p.m. First, they removed the trailer from the semi and then carefully removed the semi cab.
The center pillar of the water tower remained intact but was heavily damaged in the crash.
E. Central Avenue and S. Elm Street reopened just before 5:40 p.m.
