Initial Report:
Dayton Police and Fire were dispatched to the on-ramp to Interstate 75 northbound from Stanley Avenue at 4:04 a.m. on reports of a rollover crash with a person trapped inside.
When emergency responders arrived, they reported a person was trapped inside a semi-truck that rolled off the on-ramp, according to scanners. Traffic cameras operated by the Ohio Department of Transportation confirmed that the semi-truck did roll over during the crash and began to leak fluid near the rear of the vehicle.
As the semi-truck rolled over, it damaged the utility poles and downed some power lines across the roadway, causing AES Ohio to respond to the scene, evident in the traffic camera footage.
Although the initial call reported that the semi-truck occupant may have been injured, it is currently unknown what their condition is.
The Dayton Police Department led the investigation into the crash.
