Senator-Elect J.D. Vance announces first round of senior staff appointments

Ohio U.S. Senator-Elect J.D. Vance announced his first round of appointments for senior staff positions.

Jacob Reses as Chief of Staff

Reses previously served as Senior Policy Advisor to Senator Josh Hawley.

He advised on legislative issues regarding, but not limited to, technology, antitrust, trade, and economic policy, a spokesperson for Vance’s camp said.

Reses was also Director of Strategic Initiatives at Heritage Action for America.

Reses earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Princeton University.

Bryan Gray as State Director

Gray will be tasked with overseeing Vance’s Ohio offices.

Gray served as Vance’s Political Director for the primary and general elections.

Prior to Vance’s campaign, Gray was the Deputy Chief of Staff for the Ohio House of Representatives. At this role, he was responsible for hiring staff, the spokesperson said.

Gray has helped elect dozens of candidates to the Ohio Statehouse, the spokesperson stated.

Gray earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Ave Maria University.
