Crews responded to reports of a crash on Cincinnati Dayton Road near Oxford State Road in Middletown just before 2 p.m. after the crash was first reported.
An initial investigation found a silver vehicle was traveling south on Cincinnati Dayton Road at a high-rate of speed when it went off the right side of the road and crashed into a parked red pickup truck, state troopers told News Center 7. The force of the crash sent both vehicles into the Snyder Brick and Block building, causing significant structural damage.
The two occupants inside the silver vehicle, who were not identified, were transported to Atrium Hospital in Middletown with serious injuries. No occupants were inside the parked truck and no one inside the business were injured.
Excessive speed is believed to be a factor in the crash but other potential causes of the crash were still under investigation.
Additional details were not released.
