Officers help evacuate homes following mobile home fire in Moraine

MORAINE — UPDATE: 7:55 a.m.

Moraine Police officers responded and assisted during a mobile home fire early Tuesday morning.

Moraine firefighters and police officers were dispatched at 12:56 a.m. to the 100 block of Aloha Drive on initial reports of a mobile home fire. It is located inside Kettering Estates RV Lots.

Officers assisted with the evacuation of mobile homes surrounding the fire, Moraine Police told News Center 7.

A portion of Dryden Road was closed for two hours.

One 911 caller said the trailer was full of flames.

“There’s a trailer on fire,” one female caller said. “It’s completely engulfed in flames.”

The caller told dispatchers that everyone appeared to have gotten outside.

Dispatchers tell News Center 7 that firefighters are on the scene, but no other information was available.

Initial scanner traffic indicates that Kettering and the Miami Valley District Fire Departments are providing mutual support.
