MIDDLETOWN — Several Middletown students were injured in a crash involving a school bus Thursday morning, according to spokespersons for both the school district and city.

The crash was reported before 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Central Avenue and North Highview Drive in Middletown.
Surveillance video from a nearby gas station shows the crash happen.
A spokesperson for the district said the school bus was rear-ended by a pickup truck at the intersection. Twenty-four students and one driver were on the bus at the time of the crash.
“Out of an abundance of caution, the paramedics determined 11 students to be transported to area hospitals. All injuries are minor and all parents have been contacted,” the district spokesperson said in a social media post.
It was unknown if other injuries were reported in the crash.
