It was reported in the area of Lamme Road and Lehigh Place Friday afternoon around 5 p.m., according to a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Environmental Services.

Ten homes are affected but no boil advisory is in effect.

There were reports of dirty water but it may be due to crews turning valves to maintain water pressure in the area, an MCES spokesperson told News Center 7.

One IWitness 7 viewer sent a photo of brown water from his kitchen faucet. His neighbor told him about the water main break.

He told News Center 7 Saturday he had been flushing his water for 20 minutes every hour.

“It was brown at first, then clear with a lot of particles,” he said.

He says it’s now mostly clear with “intermittent particles.”

Montgomery County Environmental Services have asked residents to flush their water lines by running water through their bathtub until it runs clear again.
