MIAMI TWP. — Drivers on northbound I-75 in Miami Twp. dealt with several traffic-related headaches through part of the morning commute Wednesday.

Issues started around 5:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-75 near I-675 after 10 vehicles were damaged by debris on the highway. State troopers told News Center 7 a semitrailer that had a tire blowout was the cause, with multiple other vehicles hitting tire and other debris.

While state troopers and Miami Twp. police were assisting drivers, two crashes were reported that blocked lanes and caused medics to respond to the scene.

The first crash was reported in the right lane closer to the I-675 overpass over I-75 around 6:40 a.m.
Minutes later a second crash was reported in the median that blocked the left lane around 7 a.m.
The conditions of those injured in the crashes were not immediately known.
By 8 a.m., all crashes, disabled and damaged vehicles had been cleared and all lanes reopened.
