“If you want to come out towards Northridge. Apparently, it was hit last night. It was separate reports and now there’s a stolen car,” a Clark County Sheriff’s deputy can be heard saying on emergency scanner traffic.

One of the firearms was recovered during an arrest in Montgomery County on Tuesday.

Deputies with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office arrested a possible juvenile suspect Tuesday but could not provide further information.

The sheriff’s office said they’re still looking for a service-issued Glock 19 9mm handgun taken from a county car. It is not clear if the car was a marked patrol cruiser or an unmarked car.

“Units be advised: the vehicle was involved in the theft of a firearm from Clark County. Theft of a firearm. All units use caution,” a Greene County dispatcher is heard saying on scanner traffic.

The sheriff’s office said no deputies are on leave right now as they are still reviewing the incident.

Clark County Sheriff’s Interim Chief Deputy Mike Young told News Center 7, in a statement, that the sheriff’s office takes “the safety of firearms and storage of departmental issued weapons seriously.”

Young said this incident is under review as the office works to make sure the sheriff’s policies and procedures were followed.
